About Green Amethyst
Healing Grounds

Welcome!
Green Amethyst Healing Grounds is a place to heal, connect, get grounded, and be creative! Whether you are painting at an easel, writing poetry by the window, or getting messy at the table, our open studio workshops are for folks who are seeking connection. Green Amethyst Healing Grounds is welcoming to ALL and serves as a space for the growing BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) community to connect and heal.

Open Studio
At Green Amethyst Healing Grounds' art studio, Art Therapist/Psychotherapist, Natasha Green, MA, ATR, LPCC, leads community-based art workshops and retreats, via registration, using a variety of art materials. Each workshop has a theme, such as mindfulness, growth, or connection.

Art Therapy
Green Amethyst Healing Grounds is also the home to Green
Amethyst Art Therapy. The art studio is used for individual and closed group art therapy sessions.
Art therapy is defined by the American Art Therapy Association as:

"a mental health profession that enriches the lives of individuals, families, and communities through active art making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship."

Natasha uses a client-led, holistic approach to healing and therapy through art making, creative expression, and emotion processing. You do not need to be an artist to participate in art therapy; just open to tapping into your creativity and trusting the process!

Meet Natasha!

Hello! I am a registered art therapist and licensed professional clinical counselor. I served on the Minnesota Art Therapy Association (MNATA) board for the 2022/2023 term. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and race-based trauma. I work with adolescents and older. As a biracial woman (Black and Japanese), I aim to be a source of support and healing for the BIPOC community. I strive to provide a comforting, judgement-free environment for all, because I truly believe a successful therapy journey relies on the therapeutic relationship.

All my life I have been both an artist and an empath. I found my passion and career as an art therapist by combining those two strengths and creating my private practice, Green Amethyst Art Therapy. The name green amethyst came from the combination of my last name and my birthstone. Amethyst, which is typically purple, also has a green variation. While researching the green amethyst gemstone, I found that it fully encompassed my professional identity as a therapist. Green amethyst is considered the 'healing gemstone'.  It stimulates inner peace, fosters self-love, and reduces depression, anxiety, and stress. The affirmation associated with the gemstone is:

"My body and spirit are aligned and united through my heart".

As an art therapist, I strive to help you achieve the healing and inner peace we are all deserving of through the power of creativity.
